the office is having a birthday lunch for Helen, a 90 year old woman that has been donating $5.00 a month to us for a number of years, on Thursday afternoon. For those that care – that is the day before my birthday.
Just recently she has DOUBLED her monthly contribution to $10 – which is a huge feat considering she has no real disposable income to play with.
Her favorite color is blue, and I took this opportunity to make Helen something small but useful for her, two dishcloths. I’m hoping she likes them, it is the least I can do to attempt to bring a smile to Helen’s 90 year old beautiful face.
