lost in the hustle and bustle

Well i’ve done it again.  I’ve failed to write down, notate, text myself, email myself – any way of tracking – the topic/starter line today was going to be about. shit.

I have the ideas at the most inconvient times…in the shower, driving to work, during work (which is rare – work is so new and I’m trying to soak in as much info as possible while in the office there is rarely room for anything else in that brain of mine) and while driving home.  Dang.  I need to make it a point to get better about it.

so instead – I’ll just start typing and see what happens.

Meet n’ Greet…there is a group of women that meet up on a weekly basis at a Wine Cellar and knit on Tuesday nights from 7pm until 9pm.  This is something I always wanted to do while in Long Beach, but parking was such a pain in teh ass that I never made it to one.  And the fact that once the weather was permitting me to (I didn’t find out about the group until mid October and it was a VERY wet winter in California last year – I swear.  Look it up if you don’t believe me.)

Anywho — I reached out to the group, known as the SSK’s…Silver Spring Knitters…last night on Ravelry.  if you don’t know what Ravelry is just Google it…if you aren’t into Knitting it’s kinda worthless foryou. sorry.

Back to the thought…I got confirmation this afternoon that the group does still meet.  So – after my heart stopped pounding out of excitement/nervousness I think I’ve decided that I’m going to go.  it’s going to help with my knitting AND it’s going to help my social circle be more than my boyfriend (who I love and adore), our cat Dr. Spaceman, my boss and subsequently the BF’s best friend, and his wife.

Second news before I forget – we are supposed to MAYBE have a thunderstorm this afternoon.  I’m very very excited but also VERY nervous – thunder is like a more mild earthquake for my anxiety.  Stresses me out, but no where near to the extent earthquakes do.

Well I’m getting all tangenty (made that word up) again – so I’m going to sign off here.

I miss my office friends…
